Great opportunity: thermal insulation technician (Illinois)

Join our team: we are hiring a thermal insulation technician in DeKalb County, Illinois. You will be based on flat roofs and terraces. Your main tasks: • Work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness • Fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters • Torch-on bituminous waterproofing membrane to flat roofs, basements and foundations • Spray polyurethane foam onto walls and roof decks to the specified thickness • Carry out flood and water tests on waterproofed areas to check for leaks Ideal candidate: • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Own basic hand tools such as a utility knife and trowel • Comfortable working at height and off scaffolding Six days a week, one day off.
