Precision welder — Kalamazoo County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Rotating shifts.
