Vacancy available: sand plant operator (Georgia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Lanier County, Georgia. You will be based on the moulding line. You will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
