Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Monmouthshire, Wales. Day-to-day duties: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces 6+ years on the tools preferred.
