We are recruiting: bar bender and fixer (Louisiana)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in West Carroll Parish, Louisiana. You will work on a busy residential building site. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations The role involves: • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Full-time with occasional weekends.
