Immediate opening: argon welder (Ohio)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Coshocton County, Ohio. You will be based on an industrial construction site. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
