Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Ida County, Iowa. You will work on an industrial construction site. Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Day to day you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode.
