Join our team: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Sullivan County, Indiana. You will work at a heating and plumbing contractor. The role involves purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant. Requirements: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
