Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Jasper County, Texas. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day The role involves: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,500 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
