Vacancy available: we are hiring a road roller operator in Erie County, New York. You will be based in an open-cast mine. Requirements: • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Understanding of safe digging near underground services On the job you will handle: • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines Full-time with occasional weekends.
