Gtaw welder wanted in Des Moines County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Des Moines County, Iowa. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. You will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
