Fettler — Redwood County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Redwood County, Minnesota. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. Six days a week, one day off. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
