Garment machinist — Anambra East

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Anambra East, Anambra State. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance The role involves thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet.
