Great opportunity: concrete worker (South Carolina)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete worker in Laurens County, South Carolina. You will be based at a ready-mix concrete plant. You should have: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers The role involves: • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
