Now hiring: fettler (Bauchi State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Itas/Gadau, Bauchi State. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal ₦75,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
