Vacancy available: foundry operative (Pennsylvania)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Warren County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On the job you will handle: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Performance bonus on top of base pay.
