What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance The role involves: • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles Overtime paid at a premium rate.
