Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Alexander County, North Carolina. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. Day-to-day duties: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Part-time with flexible hours. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
