Trowel-trade bricklayer • Marion County, Alabama

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Marion County, Alabama. The job is on a new-build development. On the job you will handle: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Full-time with occasional weekends.
