Building site helper • Scott County, Illinois

Vacancy available: we are hiring a building site helper in Scott County, Illinois. You will bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days. Ideal candidate: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio 6+ years on the tools preferred.
