Vacancy available: trowel-trade bricklayer (Mississippi)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Clay County, Mississippi. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. On the job you will handle: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage 4+ years on the tools preferred.
