The role involves feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts.
