Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Kauru, Kaduna State. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode 5+ years on the tools preferred.
