What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Six days a week, one day off.
