Sand plant operator — Harlan County

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Harlan County, Kentucky. The role involves skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
