Sand plant operator • Clatsop County, Oregon

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Clatsop County, Oregon. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day to day you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
