Immediate opening: tailor machinist (Tennessee)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Putnam County, Tennessee. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance On a typical shift you will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality.
