We are recruiting: we are hiring a panel welder in Roscommon County, Michigan. You will work on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently On the job you will handle: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
