Great opportunity: foundry operative (Texas)

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Wilson County, Texas. You will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Part-time with flexible hours.
