Semi-automatic welder • Mid Ulster, Northern Ireland

Great opportunity: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Mid Ulster, Northern Ireland. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. You will grind back and re-weld any defective runs; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. You should have: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends.
