Refrigeration and AC mechanic • Black Hawk County, Iowa

Great opportunity: we are hiring a refrigeration and AC mechanic in Black Hawk County, Iowa. You will work on a customer's rooftop chiller plant. Day to day you will replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge; trace electrical circuits with a multimeter; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter. Ideal candidate: • Valid driving licence for field call-outs • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift.
