Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Your main tasks: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool We offer $240 per day plus benefits.
