Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in Washington County, North Carolina. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
