TIG welder wanted in Aroostook County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a TIG welder in Aroostook County, Maine. You will be based on a structural steel site. Day to day you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
