Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Chippewa County, Michigan. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts.
