Tower crane operator • Orange County, North Carolina

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Orange County, North Carolina. You will work on a busy construction site. Day to day you will rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block. What we are looking for: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Understanding of hand and radio signals At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
