Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick mason in City of York, England. You will be based on a busy housing site. Your main tasks: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
