Immediate opening: we are hiring a moulder in Lucas County, Ohio. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together.
