Blocklayer — City of Richmond

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in City of Richmond, Virginia. The role involves: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
