On a typical shift you will keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres; vulcanize larger cuts on commercial tyres; torque the wheel nuts to spec with a torque wrench; check tread depth with a depth gauge and spot uneven wear; demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine. Ideal candidate: • Confident operating a tyre changer and wheel balancer • A good eye for tread wear and sidewall damage • Basic record-keeping and customer-facing skills $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
