Abattoir worker • Newton County, Georgia

Great opportunity: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Newton County, Georgia. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. The role involves: • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts What we are looking for: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $230 per day, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
