Domestic gas engineer — Charlotte County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Charlotte County, Virginia. You will work in a gas distribution network. What we are looking for: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Able to read isometric and site drawings Day-to-day duties: • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
