Milling machinist — Petersburg Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machinist in Petersburg Borough, Alaska. The role involves: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance Requirements: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
