Garment machinist wanted in St. Mary Parish

Join our team: we are hiring a garment machinist in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. Day to day you will trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Full-time, day shift.
