Vacancy available: glass fitter (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a glass fitter in Champaign County, Illinois. The job is at a busy glazing workshop. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a glazier or glass fitter • Aware of safe glass handling and PPE such as cut-resistant gloves • Own basic hand tools an advantage Day to day you will cut glass to size using a glass cutter and running pliers; measure window and door openings and order glass to size; secure glass with glazing beads, clips and points; fit double-glazed sealed units into frames; apply putty, silicone and glazing tape to bed the glass; fit panes into timber, aluminium and uPVC frames. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
