Great opportunity: fabricator-welder (North Dakota)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Sargent County, North Dakota. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day to day you will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
