We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Tom Green County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp 3+ years on the tools preferred.
