Furnace operator wanted in Charles City County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Charles City County, Virginia. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 3+ years on the tools preferred.
