Great opportunity: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in LaSalle County, Illinois. You will be based in a machine room on the rooftop. Day-to-day duties: • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays Requirements: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
