Urgent requirement: gtaw welder (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Calhoun County, Illinois. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
